In 2023, our artists joined us in Kjerringøy to familiarize themselves with the landscape through personal exploration and scheduled workshops. Artists engaged in three workshops about traditional handcrafting techniques using materials sourced from the land and spent half a day out in nature learning about constructing large-scale land art sculptures. This year, the artists will come and stay in Kjerringøy in June to create their artwork with and in nature for the Land Art Biennale, opening July 6th and 7th, starting at kl. 12.00. For these two days, there will be busses running from Bodø to Kjerringøy.
This year's full program will be announced here in May 2024.

The 9th Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale 23/24, K-LAB
Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale is an interdisciplinary and site-specific platform for land art established in 2007. K-LAB creates and conveys art projects. Artists from various art genres are invited to investigate, transform, reflect and communicate with the landscape, while the biennale facilitates meetings for a wide audience. Artists work with natural, local and degradable materials. The works are integrated into the landscape and are made with biodegradable materials so that they gradually, naturally disappear.
The 8 biennale artists visited Kjerringøy in May 2023 and in June 2024, they will return to create new art along Kjerringøyveien and in Nevelsfjord.
Exhibition opening of new works on July 6th & 7th.
At Kvarven Ungdomshus, we will take the bus on an overall guided tour from work to work. The artists themselves will present their work in collaboration with local artists.
The exhibition, Processes from the Landscape, shares the artists' processes in the form of material samples, sketches, photographs, video, and text that lead to the final artworks. After July 7th, the exhibition will also include documentation of the finished artworks.
